Levent is a doctorate student in Mechanical Engineering at UC Berkeley. He is working on implantable microsystems and harsh environment sensors and advised by Professors Liwei Lin and Albert Pisano. He is also working in collaboration with Professor Arnau Benet from UCSF Dept. of Neurosurgery.
He got bachelor's and master's degrees from METU, Turkey. During master's, he proposed and studied self-powered cochlear implant concept.
